JK Technic Grating Manufacturing

manufacturing and custom-made service - grating manufacturing

JK Technic manufactures its grating on high-performance production lines using the latest generation technologies.
At each stage of manufacturing, qualified operators carry out a rigorous quality control to ensure our product range meets your requirements.

After grating production, technicians carry out a final inspection. Indeed, we ensure that our products comply with applicable standards.
Our production lines adapt to the requirements of public, industrial and architectural applications.

JK Technic Press Locked Grating Manufacturing

Each cross bar is precisely inserted under mechanical pressure into a set of pre-notched bearing bars. A flat or "T"-shaped profile then completes the grating frame. Finally, a welding operation firmly secures all elements.

We primarily use S235JR steel (EN 10025 standards) to manufacture our metal grating, also available in stainless steel or aluminium to meet the technical requirements of each project.

Press Welded Grating Manufacturing

While the overall manufacturing process is similar to its press locked counterpart, the cross bars here take the form of a twisted square or round bar. These cross bars are then assembled to the bearing bars by electric resistance welding. Finally, a flat profile frames the assembly to complete the grating panel.

As an option, our steel grating benefits from anti-corrosion treatment via hot-dip galvanizing in accordance with EN ISO 1461 standards.
We also meet all aesthetic requirements thanks to the many powder coating and cataphoresis options available for steel. Some applications require anti-slip properties: the bearing bars and/or cross bars can then be serrated.

Fiberglass Grating Manufacturing

Standard fiberglass grating is composed of 65% resin for its chemical resistance and UV resistance, and 35% fibreglass to ensure excellent mechanical strength.
A detailed specification defines the density of the resin mixture and fibreglass layers.
The composite material is then moulded under pressure at a temperature of 70°C. Once the grating is formed, the solidification process takes approximately 20 minutes. Finally, the grating plates are cut into large panel sheets.
